In Denver, Colorado one lucky dumpster diver hits payday. Ten years ago Tammy Bullock picked a discarded painting that she found interesting, out of a dumpster. Finally after watching a show on television, she heard of a web site called worthpoint.com where you could research the value of fine art. This week the painting will be auctioned off at Sotheby’s and the estimated sale price is from 70 to 90 thousand dollars.

And finally, as if the economy hasn’t taken a toll on our pocketbooks enough, one woman in Dallas Texas found herself overcharged for airport parking. Sue Cresswell parked her car at the airport parking garage, walked her friend into the airport and returned to her car. All of this happened within 8 minutes. When she got to the booth to pay for parking, the attendant told her she owed $870.00. She refused to pay the parking and contacted the airport to straighten the matter out. According to the parking company, a computer glitch occurred and the Dallas Airport has since waived the entire ticket’s fees including the $2.00 that she should have paid for parking for 8 minutes.
